We are the Episcopal Church of Downers Grove Illinois

Services of the Episcopal Church began in Downers Grove in 1880, when a few families met in homes and rented buildings.

The cornerstone for a church building at Franklin and Forest was laid in 1897; that building served the congregation until the 1950’s. Construction on the rest of the building began in 1955, and was finished in phases over the next several years. Our Newest Wing was completed in late 2005 and we received official occupancy just after the 1st of the year 2006.

Currently St. Andrew’s is home to approximately 700 baptized members of all ages, drawn from Downers Grove and the surrounding suburbs.

It is an active, friendly parish which offers a variety of programs for both children and adults.

Our life together is rooted in our faith in Jesus Christ, strengthened by God’s love, and lived out through our worship, study, service and fellowship.

We encourage everyone to "Come Grow With Us" by becoming active members of Saint Andrew's Church and participating fully in the good news of Jesus Christ.
