OUTREACH -
SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES OUTSIDE OF SAINT ANDREW’S
CHURCH
Our
Saint Andrew's Church Outreach
Committee is an arm of the Vestry
which is responsible for decision making concerning the mission and
ministry of outreach.
Anyone is welcome to join.
Here is a partial list of who and how we help-
Trinity Sandwich Board: On the second Thursday of
every month a group of volunteers from St. Andrew’s provides, prepares
and serves lunch to guests at Trinity Episcopal Church in Aurora,
IL.
Community Adult Day Care (CADC): Serves on the Board of
Directors, or volunteers at the CADC center which provides daytime care
for older adults who are caregiver dependent.
FISH: Members of the parish donate
food weekly to this ministry. Others may serve as workers,
drivers or phone answerers.
Downers Grove Walk-in
Ministry: This
organization provides assistance to those in need on a short term
basis. Parishioners participate as trained volunteers and in
giving financial support.
United Thank Offering (UTO):
An Episcopal Organization that collects money for worldwide outreach.
Food for the Poor:
St. Andrew’s supports this group through donations and by hosting a
visit from a Food for the Poor representative.
St. Leonard’s House: Twice a year a group of High
School students and adults join together to provide dinner and
conversation with the men of St. Leonard’s house in Chicago.
South American Mission
Society (SAMS): St.
Andrew’s helps support a missionary family in South America and hosts
occasional visits from them.
Cathedral Shelter Baskets: Join in providing food and
gifts for Chicago families who need assistance over the Christmas
holidays through the Cathedral Shelter of Chicago.
Grace House:
The ECW of St. Andrew’s ministers to the women of Grace House
on a periodic basis. Events are planned well in advance and all
the women of the parish are invited to participate.
IN ADDITION- Our Saint
Andrew's Church In-Reach
Committee is responsible for
the well

within the church.
